Las Vegas 2011

March 24, 2011 for spring break my daughter (Jody) and Granddaughter (Kiana) and I (Sharon) flew from Bellingham to Las Vegas for a week's vacation. It was open seating on the plane which was different but we did okay and got a seat together in the second row.

We arrived at the hotel Mandalay Bay, the room was nice, but did not know there was going to be a $20 a day amenity fee. The room was close to the elevator and with a view of the strip, which was beautiful at night. You can not use the mini fridge so Jody kept one sink filled with ice to keep our drinks and snacks cool.

The pool area was beautiful with a river, wave pool, regular pool, and hot tub. We were surprised at the price to rent cabanas, they were $100 a day when we came and the weather was cool and went up every day to $300 a day.

We went to the pool after we checked in.

The room had a nice bathtub and a shower

It had 2 closets, they were big enough my granddaughter used one for a changing room.

March 25 we went to the pool in the morning, the outlet mall in afternoon, and walked around strip in evening

Las Vegas-Madame Tussaud, Tournament of Kings, Fremont

March 26

We went to the ticket discounter, not half price but cheaper and bought tickets for Tournament of Kings and Madame Tussaud's. We took lots of pictures with the wax models at the Madame Tussaud's

We went through Venice Casino

this is a real person, after this we went to Tournament of Kings (can not take pictures) which included a dinner and show

After dinner show we took the bus out to Freemont street and enjoyed the bus ride, and the party atmosphere at Freemont and laser show.

Las Vegas-Sam's Town, Bellagio

March 27
We shopped on the strip, spent time at the pool and in the evening we went down to the strip to Imperial Casino for supper at Hash House a Go Go (we had a coupon) the meal was terrible, we felt sick afterwards even though we did not eat that much, I don't recommend it

The cheese sandwhich was the best meal

this was the specialty of the restaurant, the only good part was the bacon

March 28

We took the bus out to Sam's Town and went across the street and shopped at Walmart, then went back to Sam's Town and watched Mystic Falls show

We took bus back to strip just as the sun went down, very pretty
