My son is an instructor at Nunuvat Arctic College at Rankin Inlet and took a tour of Meadowbrook mine in Baker Lake. The mine has almost 3.5 million ounces in gold in reserves. Baker Lake is the geographical center of Canada and is in hundreds of acres of tundra. Everything is brought in by plane.
