We had 2 interesting hamburger experiences one was at a restaurant called Grannys. They make a huge hamburger that is enough to feed 6 people and they give you a machete (a very large knife) to cut it. The hamburger was okay but this really more of a novelty experience
The other restaurant called Gonzales is different because the only thing they make is hamburgers, fries and onion rings. It is not fancy at all, they serve everything on paper, the hamburger comes on a piece of wax paper, fries and onion rings in a paper dish, and they have paper towels on each table for serviettes. They start cooking them at 1100 AM and people start lining up at least 20 minutes ahead, and some of them line up for an hour or more just to get them. They use fresh, good hamburger and they are at least twice the normal size and cost under $4.00. They keep cooking hamburgers until they run out and then that is it.
The owner likes to fish and hunt and there are mounted animal and fish trophies around the room.
