Galveston & cruise

Gallveston

We drove 40 miles to Galveston the next day and drove around and looked at the beautiful historic homes. Linda and I took a tour of one of the homes, it had been beautifully restored but the bottom floor had been flooded and was in the process of being restored.

The beach was nice but the water was rough. Some parts of the beach had a lot of destruction and debris.

Boarding the ship turned out to be horrible the women had to stand and wait with the luggage for 2 hours while the men sat in traffic for 2 hours to get the cars parked. Once we got on board Voyager of the Seas, though it was good. I finally got to have a balcony and I loved it, will definitely get one again next time. The ship was beautiful with everything imaginable: theatre for live shows, movie theatre, ice skating rink, roller blade track, rock climbing wall, miniature golf, and the usual pools and hot tubs. The middle of the ship was the royal promenade, which is 4 stories high and it looked like a street with shops and restaurants.

Ice skating show

We enjoyed our balcony, especially watching the dolphins swimming, some seemed to be synchronized with up to 3 at a time swimming side by side

Dec 15 At sea

We enjoyed various ship activities like EATING, casino, live show, and movies. The ice skating show was excellent.
