Leavenworth, Washington, USA

We drove to Kereomeos and met with our friends and the 4 of us drove to Leavenworth for a little shopping holiday. Leavenworth is a very nice tourist town that is all done in a Bavarian theme. It was nice on such a nice warm day, but would be really nice to go there in the winter when the town is decorated with Christmas lights. We stayed at a very nice family run, small hotel called Alpine Rose Inn. One of the attractions is they don't have children, pets, or smoking. They also include breakfast and desert in the evening.

The hotel has a very nice yard in the back and we enjoyed having Happy Hour and visiting there before we went out for supper and some shopping. In the afternoon of the second day we enjoyed swimming and relaxing by the pool.

There are shops full of beautiful things, especially one with angels, dolls, and a Christmas store. I found an elephant for my collection. We saw a tiny black bat hung on the outside of a shop, unfortunately I did not take a picture of the bat.

We wore the men out quite soon and they sat where they could and visited and people watched. They spent a long time watching an ant carrying a heavy load.
