Last night, July 21, when my son and I were going for a walk we found this little baby quail in the parking lot. We tried to see if any quail would come looking for it but there were none. We brought it home and looked up on the internet how to look after it. I phoned a bird sanctuary but they could not do anything for the quail. We set up a light to keep it warm, fed it water on a spoon and put out crushed bird seed and some hard boiled egg yolk.
The quail was still alive and active today, my granddaughter made it a little house from a cream cheese container. We hope it will survive. Sadly it died the next day, buried it in the rose flower bed.
