We took the train to Naples, about 1 hour ride. We went to the Archaelogical Museum where the artifacts from Pompeii are housed.

After the Museum we walked around Naples and shopped.

We wanted to see the Royal Palace but we got there at 2:30 pm and it was closed until 4:30 and we did not want to stay that late. We caught a bus to get back to the train station and the bus was so packed and so many people kept trying to get on the doors would not close. Finally some people stepped off the bus but it was a very unpleasant ride packed in like sardines. We were glad it was a fairly short ride and glad to get off the bus. The train going back to Siena was crowded but at least people kept getting off and very few got on.
