Gingerbread house party part 3 (1993-2000)

1993

Dec 13 Attending: Elsie, Christine, Donna E, Maureen, Dianne, Shirley, Joyce, Jean, new comers-Ursula and Kathie (11). This party was reminiscent of the original because I was back in school again doing my Degree in nursing. Jean brought farm animals and made her house into a farm complete with an outhouse

1994
Dec 16 Attending were: Elsie, Donna E, Maureen and a friend of hers, Dianne, Shirley, Kathie and Suzanne (9)

The next day Jody and her boyfriend Shane decorated a house and 2 days later Vera and Troy decorated houses.

1995

Dec 15 Attending: Elise, Donna E, Maureen, Joyce, Dianne, Eira, Shirley, Diane, and newcomers-Anne and Marlene (11). Anne was one of my instructors (a favorite) when I took the diploma nursing program and then again for the nursing degree program. Anne showed us how to stick the houses together with melted sugar. This worked much better than icing except the risk of getting burnt from the hot sugar syrup, which unfortunately has happened a couple of times. The next day I decorated 2 more houses and donated them to the Salvation Army.
