Inverness

Sept 11 Edinburgh to Inverness
The weather was sunny and cloudy and we left after breakfast we took the train to Perth and then to Inverness. It was a very nice train ride watching the scenery change. At first the fields were flat, then became more hilly farms and then ocean view. The terrain became hilly with streams and mostly treed as we got closer to Inverness. We lugged our baggage up dozens of steps to Ryeford Guest House and then of course up the usual flights of stairs. This was a nice B & B with lots of teddy bears. The town was nice and we walked around for a while then had a very good steak and ale pie with puff pastry in a pub.
some of the stairs we had to take our luggage up, it pays to pack light

Inverness Castle (is a court house now)

Sept 12, 2007 (Wed) Inverness
It rained at night, but was nice and warm and sunny in the day. Ches stayed in the B & B and rested and I went to a museum and boat ride.

The museum was small but had a variety of things from costumes, paintings, stuffed animals set up in dioram’s, and furs.

I went on a boat ride where you were supposed to see dolphins, but did not see any, but did enjoy the boat ride anyway.
