Steve and I went on a jungle tour with many bridges
vines grow up the trees
eventually the vines kill the tree leaving the middle hollow
some of the people on the tour climbed up the middle of the tree

It was a beautiful drive around the lake Arenal, the pictures do not do it justice. We checked into Volcano Lodge and Gardens Hotel and it was very nice.
The next day we went into La Fortuna and got our laundry done, shopped and had lunch.

There was a very nice park in town 
There are beautiful grounds at this hotel with a walking trail
Mary took us out for a great supper to celebrate Steve's birthday
they gave Steve a nice dessert and sang happy birthday
Mount Arenal, no volcanic activity while we were there
We went to Baldi Hit Springs, there were many different hot spring pools there with different temperatures
A nice buffet dinner was included in admission price
